Practice Match Information

Orientation day and practice matches are all set for Saturday 9th and Sunday the 10th April.

U8's & U9's Orientation Day

Saturday 9th April - 11am - 12:30pm at Burwood Reserve

There is an orientation day for all U8's and U9's on Saturday 9th April with the purpose of:

  • Providing an overview of the rules for each grade
  • Explaining the wristband process and the set playing zones
  • Conducting some practice matches for the children to have some fun and play a game under the rules they will play with on a Sunday.

Here are the Junior Matchday Guidelines for 2016 to provide an overview of the rules for each grade.

U10 - Colts Practice Matches

Sunday 10th April - 9am - 6pm at Burwood Reserve & Ferndale Park

All games will be played against East Malvern JFC unless stated. 

Burwood Reserve - Top Oval

15 minute quarters and all quarter and half-time breaks being 5 minutes in duration.

  • 9:00am - Under 10 Red
  • 10:20am - Under 10 Black
  • 11:40am - Under 11 Red
  • 1:00pm - Under 12 Green
  • From 2:20pm - U15 Girls and Girls Youth - vs. Glen Iris JFC and East Malvern Knights

Burwood Reserve - Bottom Oval

15 minute quarters and all quarter and half-time breaks being 5 minutes in duration.

  • 9:00am - Under 10 Green
  • 10:20am - Under 10 White
  • 11:40am - Under 11 Green
  • 1:00pm - Under 11 Black
  • 2:20pm - Under 12 Red
  • 3:40pm - Under 12 Black

Ferndale Park

15 minute quarters with quarter time breaks being 5 minutes and 10 minutes for half-time.

  • 10:00am - Under 13 Green
  • 11:25am - Under 13 Red
  • 12:50pm - Under 15 Red
  • 2:15pm - Colts (1's & 2's)
  • 4:30pm - Under 13 Black intraclub practice match

U14 practice matches

U14 practice matches will be played away.

  • 2:45pm - Under 14 Red vs. Fitzroy at Ford Reserve, Ivanhoe
  • 9:30am - Under 14 Black vs. Waverly Park Hawks at Lum Reserve, Wheelers Hill
  • Under 14 Greens is TBC

 

Grading Policy

Grading will be carried out as per the clubs grading policy.
